Prakash C. Mathew

Prakash is a third generation educationist following a lineage of a grandfather who was an Inspector of Schools, mother, a Montessorian and founder of 3 educational institutions. After schooling at MCCH and graduation from Loyola College, he chose to become a Chartered Accountant. On completion of Chartered Accountancy, duty compelled him to take up certain family business and is presently the Director of Scholar Publications Pvt. Ltd. and Livewire School of Language Studies. He is also the Hony. Secretary of Model Educational Society and Holy Angels English School. His teenage interest in skits and songs developed into organising theatre as co-founder of the Mellow Circle, an NGO, gaining respect in Chennai as a cultural organisation. His ideas are focused on maintenance of Children Home for AIDS – Prathyasha Home – at Avadi, run by Prathyasha Trust. Over the last 10 years, chaired the production of a dozen theatre programmes in the city.

  • Execution of ideas using graphic tools for protos and mocks
  • Layouts and sitemap creation for websites and marketing material based on userneeds and target audience – making them user-friendly and intuitive
  • Onsite visit to create the Web Branding and Development Guidelines for Cambridge, ESOL, UK
  • Production in-charge wholly for the ussoccer.com project & a1teamindia.in andbriefly for the-afc.com project, with team sizes up to 25 – 30 members.
  • His professional experience covers his tenure at the following companies in Chennai :Cognizant Technologies, Changepond Technologies, Xerago, dotCue Technologies, Avigna Technologies, Qwiky’s Coffee, Kumaran Systems, Gaitonde Shoes.
  • Is a baritone singer (soloist and chorister) passed Grade V Exam from Trinity College of Music, London
  • Was stage manager for many productions at the Tejaswi Foundation and the Madras Players and have also acted in some plays
  • As Director of The Nilgiris Abacus Centre, took abacus to schools in the Nilgiris, and introduced abacus art and craft in the curriculum.
  • Other interests : Travel, Amateur Photography, Writing English Poetry.


 Yamuna N.S.

 Yamuna has straddled two worlds – that of hard core Marketing and Management  and the Arts.

  • She worked on the business side in O&M, Lintas & Artig in the Advertising industry from 1969 to 85 while she moved from backstage to directing plays for The Madras Players till 2010.
  • Was Associate Professor at the Center for Interactive Management, George Mason Univ. Fairfax, USA in 1985 and senior consultant at Systems Engineering & Cybernetics Centre at Tata Consultancy Services till 1991.
  • Set up Parinam Centre for Self Management (1991-99) which involved her in the study of different subjects like Philosophy, Religion, Alternate Therapies and Consciousness.
  • Used theatre in personal development in government and corporate programmes.
  • Also worked extensively with children. Her design in Theatre in Education (TIE) is learning through concepts for large classes.
  • She is the Founder Trustee of Tejaswi – theatre for self expression.

The convergence of her varied experiences is what she brings to bear in her work today.
